In the third supplementary volume of the Encyclopedic Dictionary "Brockhaus and Efron also contains the following text. Pander (Christian Ivanovich) - an outstanding Russian scientist, was born in the Baltic region, died in 1865, studied at Dorpat, and then from 1814 to 1817, Mr.. worked in Berlin and Wц?rzburg, from 1821 to 1827, Mr.. was a member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences, traveled to Central Asia, then served in the Department of Mining.
