Biography Leo Neal L.
1837 - 1891 Leo began its activities in the Caspian Sea, as a producer of works on the expedition Ivashintsova, after the death (1871) which is approved by the head separate survey of the Caspian Sea. By this time include the works Pushchino: "Caspian Sea. Hydrographic description and sailing directions "(St. Petersburg, 1877)," Magnetic monitoring of the Caspian Sea "(with magnetic cards of the Caspian Sea, St. Petersburg, 1874). In 1875 Leo appointed chief shooting the Baltic Sea, where he worked both in Abovskiy and Aland skerries on inventory main channels. Leo also is working on identifying the elements of terrestrial magnetism (Magnetic monitoring with hydrographic survey archipelago of the Baltic Sea 1875 - 1882 ", in" Marine Digest, 1884). In 1882 Leo was director of the Hydrographic Department, renamed in 1886 in the main hydrographic office. Leo was chairman of Marine Scientific Committee. In 1883, the Geographical Society, published in French labor Puschina "Review of hydrographic work in Russia for 1875 - 1881.."
