Biography Bonn, Leon Joseph Florentin (Bonnat Leon Joseph Florentin)
(1833-1922) Born in Bayonne 20 June 1833. He studied in Madrid at Madras and the School of Fine Arts in Paris in Konya. He received a scholarship to travel to Rome. Bonn painted historical subjects and portraits of the parade. In 1905 headed the School of Fine Arts. Among his most famous works - portraits of Thiers (1877), Victor Hugo (1880), Puvis de Chavannes, Pasteur and Dumas. After the death of Bonn on Sept. 8, 1922, by will masters, his native town of Bayonne has a fine collection of art works, which included one of the best in the 19. assembly drawing.
