Biography Constant Jean Joseph Benjamin
(1845-1902) Born in Paris on June 10, 1845, from 1867 he studied at the School of Fine Arts. Subsequently, the artist traveled to Spain and North Africa, and painted the dramatic scenes from the history of these countries, which brought him fame, has successfully worked in the field of decorative painting and portraiture. Paint-Benjamin Constant owned painting ceilings of a number of public buildings, t.ch. Paris City Hall, the Sorbonne, the Komische Opera and City Hall of Toulouse. Completed his portraits of people of high society were exhibited at the Paris Salon and London. Among them - the portraits of Queen Victoria and Edward, Prince of Wales. Constant died in Paris on May 26, 1902.
