Biography Laurence Marie (Laurencin Marie)
(1885-1956) Born October 31 1885 near Paris. She studied at the Lycц?e Lamartine and the Academy of Embera. Beginning of her creative 'friendship with artists Picasso and Braque and the poet Guillaume Apollinaire. In 1909 she wrote a large canvas - a group portrait of friends, which depicts Picasso, Fernand Olivier, Apollinaire, and she. Own very individual style of the artist was formed around 1910. She worked on the engraving and woodcarving, . been influenced by African sculpture, . doing illustrations and decorations for the 'Comedie-Francaise (1928) and Sergei Diaghilev's Russian Ballet (1924), . wrote poetry under the pseudonym of Louise Lalanne, . but its most famous paintings, . which combine motifs Rococo 18, . and the style of Persian miniatures and Mongolian.
