Biography Emil Ludwig (Ludwig Emil)
(1881-1948) Born January 25, 1881 in Breslau (Germany). He studied at the University of Breslau, a Ph.D in Law at the University of Heidelberg. Worked as a journalist in London, with the outbreak of World War II - Correspondent 'Berliner Tageblatt' ( 'Berliner Tageblatt') in the Balkans and in Germany. Since 1907 he lived permanently in Switzerland. He actively participated in the Jewish movement, his books were burned in Germany on Hitler's orders. The first literary experiments of Ludwig's play in prose and verse, . including those outside the law (Ein Friedloser, . 1903), . Crash (Ein Untergang, . 1904), . Atalanta BC (Atalanta, . 1911) and Ariadne (Ariadne, . 1911); early novels - Manfred and Helen (Manfred und Helena) and Diana (Diana), . Ludwig brought widespread fame of his novels, biographies. Moving in one direction with his contemporaries Dzh.L.Strechi and A. Maurois, Ludwig updated the biographical genre, highlighting his heroes 'all human'. When writing his works, he did not admit the idealization of the great personalities, showing that they are experiencing the same fears and aspirations that all men. In many of his psychological Studies the influence of Freud.
