Biography SING John Millington (Synge John Millington)
(1871-1909) Born April 16, 1871 in a suburb of Dublin, was educated at Trinity College Dublin. After graduating from college while studying music, then carried away by criticism. In 1898, met in Paris with WB Yeats, who suggested Shingu to study the life of the Irish - people Erenskih Islands. In 1907, Singh has published a book of essays Erenskie Islands (The Aran Islands). The first one-act play Singh in the twilight of the valley (In the Shadow of the Glen) was set in 1903 by the Irish national theater company, led by Yeats. It was followed by galloping to the sea (Riders to the Sea, 1904) and three-act Channel saints (The Well of the Saints, 1905). In 1904, Singh, along with Yeats and A. Gregory became one of the directors 'Theater Abbey'.
