Biography UOTTC George Frederick (Watts George Frederic)
(1817-1904) Born February 23, 1817 in London. Raised in the spirit of Puritan piety, Watts did not want to enter the Royal Academy of Arts, he sought to remedy the lack of education sweatshop labor. Unfortunately, his most powerful works, such as painting Meeting of Jacob and Esau (1868), little is known. The public is more familiar with the trivial and sentimental works of Illusion of Life (1849), guard (1880), and so passes the glory of the Earth (1892). Watts also wrote portraits and created several monumental sculptures. Watts died in London on 1 July 1904.
