Juan Jose Flores (Flores Juan Jose)

He was born in Puerto Cabello in Venezuela, July 19, 1800. He became one of the most trusted generals SimцЁn Bolцґvar. Once in 1830, Gran Colombia, created Bolivar, broke up into three states - New Granada, Venezuela and Ecuador, Flores became the first president of Ecuador (1830-1835). Immediately after the separation of Ecuador began the rivalry between the capital Quito and Guayaquil, the port, broke the border dispute with Colombia. To retain power and maintain the integrity of state intervention in the face of Colombia, Flores was forced to compromise with the Guayaquil Liberal Party, led by Vicente Rokafuerte. Politics Flores and his attempts to consolidate its power through a new constitution provoked rebellion and a coup in March 1945.
