Biography Grishin Ivan Tikhonovich
(16.HII.1901, der. Vnukovichi Roslavl district of Smolensk province - 20.YI. 1951, Moscow) In the Red Army in 1920. He graduated from the Frunze Military Academy (1936). Before World War II was on the various command and staff positions. During the war the commander of the Infantry Division (1941-42 gg.) Chief of Staff, 11-th Guards Army (1942-43.), June 1943. the end of the war the commander of the 49 th Army. Troops of the 49 th Army under his command successfully operated in Smolensk (1943), Belarus (1944), East Prussia (1945) and Berlin (1945) and operations. For the liberation of his native city Roslavl awarded the Order of Suvorov I-th degree. After the war, was head of the Office of the combat training of the Army. Awarded 2 orders of Lenin, 5 orders of the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov 2 I-th degree, Order of Kutuzov I-th degree, Red Star and medals, as well as foreign orders. Its named after a street in g. Roslavl.
