Dorokhov Konstantin Gavrilivich

Born the son of renowned photographer Smolensk. Original art education was in Smolensk, in the studio at Proletkult In. Shtraniha, H. Yablonsky, B. Rybchenkova. By Komsomol in 1923. continuing education in Moscow in VHUTEINe. Already in the 30-ies. have known of his works, particularly women's portraits: "parachutist", "Vuzovka", "Korean woman", "Shahterka", "Schur Tian". "Nenets girl with the book was acquired by the State Tretyakov Gallery. During the Great Patriotic War, D. - Frontal artist. On many fronts have been created hundreds of graphic sheets. In the postwar period, the artist is drawn to different genres, working in the field of landscape, portrait, still life. Artist repeatedly in the 50-ies. came home, supporting creative relationship with the Union of Artists of Smolensk. After the death of Dr.. widow and son handed Smolensk more than 300 works to the museum.
