Member of the Great Patriotic War from June 1941 Staff Sgt Ivanov AA. flew 16 sorties to destroy enemy personnel and equipment of the enemy. November 17, 1941 in the seventeenth time flew on a combat mission in the crew of the bomber Su-2. In the ensuing dogfight was fatally wounded, but continued to fight, and then aiming dropped bombs on enemy positions. When the plane landed at the airfield, Sergeant Ivanov was already dead.
