Biography DIONISIY (Dionysios)
Dionysius, Dionysios, Latin. Dionysius, of Alexandria, a Greek Christian writer, bishop of Alexandria, with 247 (or 248) to 264 (or 265) years. Converted to Christianity, Origen, after a while became a mentor katehisticheskoy School in Alexandria. His numerous works and letters have survived only in fragments. Quotes and excerpts from his writings led by Eusebius of Caesarea in the VII book of Church history. Wholly survived only two letters: a letter to Novatsianu, quoted by Eusebius, and the letter to Basilides, bishop Pentapolya, preserved in the canonical epistles of the Eastern Church.
