Biography FAUSTINO (Faustinus)
Faustin; Faustinus, IV-V cc. n. e., Latin Christian writer. The representative of the Roman clergy, supporter of the excommunicated Lucifer Kalariyskogo, although the enemy Arians (cm. Arius) and novatsian (cm. Novation). The most significant work of F. is the Holy Trinity, or about the faith against the Arians (De Trinitate sive de fide contra arianos; ca. 380 g.). This work is a statement of Catholic doctrine of the Trinity. F. Knowledge of the faith also wrote the Emperor Theodosius (Fieds Theodosio Imperatori oblata), which renounces the errors savelianizma. In his work on the knowledge of the true faith and genuine unity and persecution by the enemies of truth (De confessione verae fidei et ostentatione sakrae communionis et persecutione adversantium veritatis) F. protects lyutsiferian and laments the persecution of Catholics, and also requests the Emperor Theodosius to take them under his wing.
