Biography PAUL Oswald (Pohl)
Pohl, Oswald (Pohl), (1892-1951), Obergruppenfiihrer SS (General), Head of administrative-economic management of the SS, in charge of the concentration camps and the enterprise system SS. Born June 30, 1892 in Duisburg. In 1926 joined the Nazi party. As the chief treasurer of the navy of Germany, in 1929 Paul joined SA. In 1934 he was appointed Head of the RSHA. In 1942-45, Paul served in various command positions in the Waffen SS, including a chief of the Chief of administrative-economic management of the SS. After the defeat of the Third Reich, Paul tried to escape but was arrested in May 1946 and November 3, 1947 appeared before an American military tribunal sentenced him to death. He was hanged at Landsberg prison, June 8, 1951.
