Biography BELLINI Vincenzo
Italian composer, author of the celebrated opera Norma. Born November 3, 1801 in Catania Sicily. Father Bellini church organist, was his first teacher, and one of the local nobles, conquered the boy's talent, gave the means to continue his education. Vincenzo studied composition at the Conservatory of Naples 'San Sebastian', and there also in 1825 came his first opera - and Salvini Adelson (Adelson e Salvini). Its success brought Bellini order for a new opera - Bianca and Fernando (Bianca e Fernando, 1826) for the theater of Naples 'San Carlo'.
