Jimmy (James Patrick), Paige (Jimmy Page) was born January 9, 1944 in Heston (Middlesex, United Kingdom).
Already in mid-1960's he was known as a gifted guitarist - Paige served as a session musician, has participated in recordings of various groups, including "The Who" and "The Rolling Stones".
Rejecting the first offer to become a guitarist rhythm & blues group "The Yardbirds", Jimmy Page, he changed his mind and played in it until its collapse in 1968. Then he invited his new band, later became known as "Led Zeppelin", bass guitarist John Paul Jones and singer Robert Plant.
Then they were joined by drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham. And since 1968, began the ascent "Led Zeppelin" to the heights of global fame. For twelve years prior to the formal dissolution of the group after the death of John Bonham, "Led Zeppelin" performed at concerts in Britain, the United States and Europe and has released nine albums, almost all of whom have become "platinum".
After the dissolution of "Led Zeppelin", Jimmy Page, as well as other groups of musicians, began his solo career. In 1982, he participated in the recording of music for the movie "Death Wish 2," and in mid-1980's, organized hard-rock quartet "The Firm".
In 1982, in memory of John Bonham, he compiled a collection of "Coda", which included the early songs of "Led Zeppelin".
In 1988 Jimmy Page released his debut solo album "Outrider". In 1993, Jim Page, together with the former vocalist of the band "Whitesnake" David Kaverdeylom recorded the disc "Coverdale / Page", . and in 1994, along with Robert Plant took part in the TV show "MTV Unplugged" and released the album "No Quarter", . where the song sounded "Led Zeppelin".,
