Biography ULITSKAYA Ludmila E.
Ludmila E. Ulitskaya was born in 1943 in the city Davlekanovo Bashkir ASSR, a biologist by education in genetics that does not prevent her to become a famous writer. All stories Ulitskaya based on her personal life experiences or told to the words of friends, acquaintances, neighbors, relatives. Her biography is could serve as material for a book. She was thrice married, to each husband, she can tell her story. The first time she marries, as a student, a student Fizteha Yuri Thais. Ulitskaya admits that it was a real student marriage, that is, they did not have these problems: they were still children of their parents, but lived in a separate apartment. The marriage broke up because of the constant explanation of the relationship: one of them more important in the family, one of them first. The most important and difficult decisions in my life Ulitskaya considers divorce from her second husband - the father of her two young children. First, when you realize that the marriage has ceased to exist, but have only one joint cohabitation, then try to adjust, but that it is very difficult to live under one roof two totally strangers. Also considered Ulitskaya: "... During the ten years of our marriage has fundamentally changed the nature of our relationship. At first, I was home, smart, wonderful wife. During the nine years that I was sitting at home, I became a housewife, as I thought my husband. And his behavior was based on the fact that he is thriving scientist, but I - housewife. It was his model of the family - she was in his parents' house, and he was a good example of me. I knew it and smiled slightly - I knew that my God was released not less than him. " . After the divorce Ulitskaya trying to find a job that she could combine with caring for children, but because for a long time, its scientific specialization was no longer valid, it could only work as a laboratory . At this point it comes to the rescue girlfriend, who worked as a painter at the Jewish Theater. She met with an artist Sherling, who wanted to put a play about Jewish history, Bar - Kochba. Ulitskaya keep the conversation going, since she herself, being a housewife, read about it. Sherling was shaken knowledge of this woman and offered work zavlitom in their own theater, where she worked for three years. Third husband, whom now live Ulitskaya, came into her life "with difficulty". The writer says with irony that after such novels, what was with them, usually do not end in marriage, but now they are married and now live together one soul.
On the eve of the 1980's and 1990's took two films adapted from established Ulitskaya scenarios - "Sisters of Liberty" by Vladimir grammar and "A Woman for All". But the fame it brings the story of "Sonia", for which Ulitskaya received the award of the Medici and the general acceptance, and in 1997 the novel, "Medea and Her Children" brings it to the number of finalists for the Booker Prize.
. Ulitskaya recognizes, . that her first book came out abroad, . a "poor cousin" saw the light in Paris, . because the situation in Russia hampered its work, . but this only helped her, . because thanks to Paris her books have been published in 17 languages in Europe, . U.S., . eastern Europe, . as well as in member countries of the CIS.,
. Itself is a writer with a smile, remarked that if at the time it is not expelled from work (she studied genetics), it would be a doctor of biological sciences, and not the author of fifteen books . Literary fate Ulitskaya indeed paradoxical: chamber-sounding prose, clearly intended for a narrow circle of "their" readers, gradually gained an extremely wide audience.
. Roman Ulitskaya "mishap Kukotsky" in 2001 received the Booker, and the novel "Sincerely Shura" has become one of the most widely read books last year - along with Akunin and Daria Dontsova . At the recent Paris Book Salon speech writer, accompanied by this sold out, and of wishing to sign a book Ulitskaya long queues.

Madam Ulitskaya. Your novel made a tremendous impression on me. Even a few nights dreaming. I believe that the spiritual unity of mankind, now, among the discord, rejection and conflict 'karassov' (Kurt Vonnegut), one of, if not the main center of which is Israel, born and flood the land. Your Book - a spring, from which I hope will be born river. Do not believe angrily: 'a book about the Jews and for Jews' - a book for all. I thought: 'a novel in letters from death' - is alive, and how. I look forward to re-release. In the 3rd part of the 37 head crept editorial mistake: Instead of: 'spreading mysyu (ie. proteins) on the tree ', type:' thought '. Your a long time reader, Valery Sidorov. SPB 17/12/2007 |

Subject - books, of course, Dear Lyudmila Y.! I was also made a great impression of your "Daniel Stein". And also really enjoyed your interview in the magazine Buknik "(if I'm not mistaken) - the need for tolerance. And now I looked the program Alexander Archangel "Meanwhile" and decided to contact you. I would like to give some needy library of his books: a little classical, a little fiction, travel. I need an exact address and hope that the book will be useful. Uv.Lyudmila. In my life there was an extraordinary event - I was "found" relatives, which I hardly suspected. We connected a common grandfather, originally from Ukraine. Since then, interest in the common sources of family history has generated enthusiasm, but ... What can you learn when nothing but a pair of photographs is left. But want to find and explain the reasons for actions already gone parents. Past uncertain future, and in this fog inner turmoil draws images of loved ones.. Being in such a little excited, I read your novel about D. Stein. And this maelstrom of human lives strangely reassured me - so many people grief, pain, misery, love, hope and good luck. As a result - any life is a gift from God. Thank you for the book |
