Rubtsov, Olga (1909 -1994). Fourth world champion (1956-1958). Born August 20, 1909 in Moscow. Learned to play in childhood. Her father Rubtsov was known Moscow chess player. The first of its success - a victory on a massive youth tournament, organized by the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda" (1926). The following year, became a champion of the country. This is the title she won 4 more times, winning championships in 1931, 1937 and 1949, and in 1935 won the match for the title of champion of the country O.Semenovu-Tyanshanskuyu - 7:2 (+6-1 = 2). R. Thrice became champion of Moscow. In the tournament at the World Championship (Moscow, 1949-1950) was the second.
The tournament contenders (Moscow, 1955) won the first place, and in the triple-match tournament with the champion Bykova and ex-champion Rudenko (Moscow, 1956) was the first, winning the title of world champion.
Led the team of the USSR in the first Women's Olympiad (Emmen, 1957), in which our team emerged victorious.
