Domino, Fats (Domino, Antoine 'Fats') (p. 1928), American singer in the style of rhythm and blues, pianist, composer and songwriter, one of the founders of rock 'n' roll. Born in New Orleans (pc. Louisiana), February 26, 1928. When in 1949 the owner of a small bar in New Orleans, signed a contract with plump black Shorty on nightly performances, he never imagined that opened a vein of gold -. Self-taught Domino perfectly mastered all the popular styles of piano playing - ragtime, boogie-woogie, blues. The fruit of collaboration with musician Dave Bartholomew in the late 1940's steel compositions in the style of boogie-woogie and rhythm & blues, . immediately taken to the charts: "Fat Man" (The Fat Man), . "Rocking chair" (The Rockin 'Chair), . "I'm going home" (Goin 'Home), . "Please, . do not leave me "(Pleas Don't Leave Me) and others, .
