In 2000 Aleksey Vinnikov entered SPbGATI, the course of People's Artist of Russia Sergey Parshin. His first works were held in the school theater at Moss. Played in a theatrical performance staged by Professor SPbGATI E. I. Black: 'Midsummer Night's Dream' (Oberon), 'Truth is good, but happiness is better' (Grozny).

After graduation in 2004, the young actor was admitted to the Bolshoi Drama Theater named Towstonogow. Onstage BDT Alex played in productions of: 'Bella Ciao' (character), .
