Vladimir Zelensky

Vladimir was born on January, 25th, 1978 in Ukraine, in the city of Krivoy Rog. In childhood he lived with parents 4 years in Mongolia. At school he dreamt of becoming a diplomat and even prepared for entrance MGIMO. However, after estimating chances, Volodya entered Krivorozhsky Economic institute of the Kiev National Economic University. He was to become a lawyer. But he never worked in this field except for two months of practice.

Being a student Vladimir plunged into KVN, created theatre of miniatures "Homeless child". At that moment he was invited to the legendary KVN command 'Zaporozhye-Krivoy Rog-Ttranzit' for organizing dancing numbers. Soon Zelensky was occupied by different roles. In 1997 he and his friends Denis Manzhosov, Jury Krapov, Alexander Pikalov separated from "Transit" and formed team '95th quarter', one of the brightest teams in the history of KVN.

Vladimir Zelensky became its captain, he also wrote the majority of numbers on his own. During the years 1999-2003 '95th quarter' acted in the Higher league of KVN, the participants practically lived in Moscow and constantly went on tour across CIS countries, partook in corporate holidays, telecasts, concerts etc. In 2003 a conflict of "95th quarter' with AmiK company arose. So Zelensky left KVN.

This is how he got his long-awaited though compelled holiday, when he married the team's script writer Elena Kijashko whom he had been dating more than 7 years. Then they had a daughter Sasha.

In 2005 Vladimir started TVshow 'Evening quarter' on TV channel 'Inter'. Vladimir Zelensky was its ideologist, author, director and leading actor. Show gradually gained popularity and soon its ratings became higher than of KVN and Comedy Club.

In 2006 Vladimir took part in the Ukrainian version of the project 'Dances with stars - 1' with the double world champion in ball dances Elena Shoptenko. The pair Zelensky-Shoptenko won in the final by results of spectator voting.

After success in the project 'Dances with stars' Zelensky became one of the most demanded showmen on the Ukrainian TV. Now he regularly acts in New Year's musicals, takes part in various TVshows, conducts concerts, writes TV and film scenarios. Nevertheless, his basic project till now is still 'Evening quarter'.
