He died a famous Russian Paralympic


Legendary Russian athlete, three-time Paralympic games favorite ski racing Taras Kryzhanovsky died in Perm. The cause of death of 34-year-old athlete is unknown.

The first gold medal Kryzhanovsky won at the Games in salt lake city in 2002. In 2006, the athlete at the Paralympics in Turin brought to the Treasury of the Russian team 2 gold medals in ski racing. In addition, he captured 2 silver. In 2014 Kryzhanovsky was among the participants of the ceremony to light the Paralympic flame at the Fisht stadium in Sochi.

"The Paralympic Committee of Russia extends its most sincere condolences to his untimely demise. All Paralympic community mourns with you", says the appeal to family and friends Kryzhanovsky, published on the official website of the Russian Paralympic Committee.

"From the Ministry of physical culture and sports of the Perm region, the sports community of Kama and myself, I offer my deepest condolences to the family of Taras Kryzhanovsky. An outstanding athlete made a giant contribution to the development of the Paralympic movement in our region. Kryzhanovsky proved that the road to high performance sport is open to all. This is a great loss not only for Kama, but domestic sports", - quotes the Minister of physical culture and sports of the Perm region Pavel Lyakh official web-site of the Ministry.
