Andrei Bal speaks about Russia and Ukraine problems on their journey to Euro-2008 final stage.
Andrei Bal, participant of the 1982 nad 1986 World Cups as a member of the Soviet side, comments to Sport Express on the Russian and Ukrainian championships and Euro-2008 qualifiers.
"Ukrainian internationals are able to make the final stage of the European tournament", said Andrei Bal.
"The thing is to believe in success and then they will fulfill the task."
"We are to face strong teams on our journey to Austria and Switzerland so we just need to play without looking at the table."
"Our rivals will play each other and of course they will lose important points."
"Much will depend on our September clashes against Georgia and Italy."
"As for the domestic championship I am sure Ukrainian football constantly makes progress."
"Russian and Ukraine face one and the same problem - players from abroad don`t let the players born in the city where the club plays progress."
"Oleg Blokhin and Alexei Mikhailichenko have spoken about the necessity to limit the number of foreigners in the championship."
"We understand that managers are eager to achieve positive results, yet we need to have top-level foreigners who could teach our players and help improve their skills."
"Ukraine has got the right to host Euro-2012 and this is a great achievement for the country."
"We are doing our best to get ready for the final stage of the European tournament since everybody understands that this could make the country famous."
"As for the Russian national side I can say that this team will also meet serious obstacles on their way to Euro-2008."
"It is a strong team but during Croatia qualifier Russian players failed to show what they really can."
