Ukrainian Central Elections Commission finfshed the count of votes
The Ukrainian Central Elections Commission has processed all the protocols in the September 30 parliament elections.
The Party of Regions has 34.37% of votes; the Yulia Timoshenko Bloc has 30.71%; Our Ukraine - People?s Self Defense has 14.15%; the Communist Party has 5.39%; and the Litvin Bloc has 3.96%.
Nearly one million Ukrainians (2.73% of eligible voters) rejected all candidates in the early parliament elections on September 30.
According to the preliminary estimates, the Party of Regions will have 175 out of 450 parliament mandates; the Yulia Timoshenko Bloc will have 156; and Our Ukraine - People?s Self Defense will have 72. The two opposition forces may now form the parliament majority and the new government, but other configurations of the ruling coalition are also possible.
The Communist Party will have 27 parliament mandates, and the Litvin Bloc will have 20.
The Central Elections Commission has promised to post final results by October 15.
