Russian engineers and scientists begin to study a new generation of equipment "soldier of the future". Work on this project will take at least 10-15 years.
Work on a modern development of combat gear "Ratnik-2" will start in Russia, said the head of the advanced research Foundation (PEF) Andrey Grigoriev. According to him, today in the Fund "pile of proposals about what should be the equipment, however it is necessary to dismantle.
"We launched with "Central research Institute for precision machine building (TSNIITOCHMASH) the project aimed to build our shared vision of what should be equipment "soldier of the future" in 15-20 years. He also reported that in the foreseeable future PEF planned to hold a seminar on this issue, reports RIA "Novosti".
Previously Grigoriev has informed that the development of "Warrior-2" from zero to full-scale production may take about 10-15 years. Consequently, the outfit modern developments can appear in the Russian army to 2025-2030 years.
"Warrior" - native military equipment "soldier of the future" brings together inside modern firearms, effective protection kits, reconnaissance and communication, only about 10 of various subsystems. The set of "Warrior" is about 50 various parts, including small arms, aiming, defense, electronic communications, navigation and targeting. In the state defense order of the Russian Federation are planned for purchase in 2015 and 2016, 50 thousand sets of such equipment.
