Steven Spielberg to be honored at Golden Globes
Steven Spielberg is to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his "outstanding contribution to entertainment" at next year`s Golden Globes, organizers said Wednesday.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association said the legendary director would be honored at the awards show on January 13 in recognition of a career that has seen him make some of the highest-grossing films of all time.
It is the latest honor in a long list for Spielberg, 60, who has already received six Golden Globes for films including "Schindler`s List," "Saving Private Ryan," "E.T: The Extra-Terrestrial," as well as three Oscars.
Previous winners of the award include Warren Beatty, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino and Michael Douglas.
