Italian prime minister to visit Russia for boosting economic ties
Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi will make a visit to Russia on November 22 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service said on Friday.
Putin and Prodi last met during the G8 summit in Heiligendamm in June 2007.
In their joint statement, issued after Putin`s visit to Italy in March 2007, the two leaders said they were happy with bilateral relations in all areas, including trade, energy and high technologies, and expressed a commitment to boost economic ties further.
