Russian female tourist freed from Thailand jail
Russian tourist Natalya Ivanova arrested in Thailand was freed on bail on Friday. She is suspected of complicity in theft, friend of the detainee Yelena told Itar-Tass on Friday.
"Natalya Ivanova was released on a bail of 400,000 bat (12,000 dollars) on Friday. She was freed thanks to the efforts of the Russian Embassy in Thailand. We could not settle the issue ourselves," Yelena said.
Natalya Ivanova was arrested on the Thai resort Koh Phangan on November 23. She is suspected of complicity in theft. Under the Thai law the Russian woman should stay in Thailand until the court passes a verdict.
