Kovalchuk: amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine have the opportunity to contribute in October
The amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine have the opportunity to be adopted by the end of October, said on the first day weekend in the conversation 1st Deputy head of the presidential administration Vitaliy Kovalchuk.
The constitutional Commission on the last working day of the week approved the draft changes to the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of the decentralization of Power and sent the document to the President. The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that maybe on Monday-Tuesday to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a view on introducing changes to the Constitution of Ukraine.
"If the Verkhovna Rada will be able in a short time to review the draft changes to the Constitution, we do not exclude that at the end of October, Ukraine will have a new Constitution," said Kovalchuk.
The reform of the Constitution in terms of decentralization is provided by the complex of measures on execution of the Minsk agreements, signed by the contact group in February 2015. A proper clarification in the basic law must take into account peculiarities of particular districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, agreed with the commissioners of these districts ". The authorities of the self-proclaimed DND and LNR many times sent its proposals for reform, but never received a reply.
