Novak: 1, 5 thousand brought to the Crimea diesel generators installed
Crimea if necessary will be able to use Fifteen hundred diesel generators installed in the country, told reporters the Minister of energy Alexander Novak.
Diesel generators were brought to Crimea from Russia in the past year to protect the power system of the Peninsula from possible interruptions of supply of electric energy from Ukraine.
"Fifteen hundred diesel generators that were brought to the Crimea, they are installed, are socially significant objects and if necessary will be included in the work," said Novak correspondents.
Crimea currently is 70% dependent on the supply of electric energy from Ukraine. In case of accidental de-energizing of the Republic, the power supply support through on-site generation, diesel generator sets with total capacity of 250 MW and three mobile gas turbine power plants with total capacity of 300 MW.
