Khodorkovsky wants Yukos property siezed
Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who is facing trial in Moscow, said the court should seize some of the property which previously belonged to energy company Yukos.
The former head of Russia?s biggest oil company told the court that the prosecution violated the law by failing to put a warrant for the arrest of the property, which Khodorkovsky allegedly embezzled, his attorney Vadim Kluvgant said Friday. He added:
"Everybody knows well where the property is now - in the same place as the beneficiate in the Yukos case."
The seizure is meant to protect the property from disappearing, the lawyer said.
