Jaresko: Russia may introduce limits for Ukraine as a member of an FTA with the EU
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko considers possible trade restrictions from Russia after the entry into force of the free trade area (FTA) with the European Union (EU), however, believes that the authorities can handle it.
Russia expressed concern about the introduction from 1 January 2016 to the provisions of the FTA And fears of an influx of duty free items from the EU through Ukraine. Kiev And the EU are trying to reach a compromise with the Russian side. According to Jaresko, an Association agreement with the EU, part of which is the FTA, is a symbol of Ukraine's European choice.
