Tajik police arrest 2 Russian servicemen over murder
Two Russian military servicemen have been arrested in Tajikistan on suspicion of murder, a Tajik police spokesman told RIA Novosti on Thursday.
"Vyacheslav Chernov and Dmitry Kuchma are suspected in the murder of a taxi driver, a former police officer, committed at the end of August in Khalton Region on the south of the country," the spokesman said.
The soldiers from Russia`s 201st motorized infantry division, which was deployed in 2005 to help secure Tajikistan`s border, were arrested on Wednesday. According to the spokesman, the investigation is ongoing.
