Matvienko: Russia considers punishment unlawful, for this reason they are not discussing

Russia with anybody does not discuss the removal of her punishment, considers them to be illegal and unfounded, said the Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko.

at the end of July 2014, the EU and the US said the penalties against entire sectors of Russia's economy due to the deterioration of relations between Russia and the West on the background of the conflict in Ukraine.

"We don't discuss with anyone withdrawal penalties. We continue to believe that they are illegal, wrongful, unfounded. For this reason, to think about what to do with the punishment, have an obligation to those countries that imposed them, not because they less suffer from their actions and understand that they have put themselves in a difficult position, " - said Matvienko, announced on the first day of the week.

She stressed that the punishment against Russia were introduced in order to isolate her, but without Russia it is difficult to solve any big problem." This is true for the destruction of weapons of mass destruction in the Syrian Arab Republic, and the settlement of the Iranian problem, " - said Matvienko.
