Meg Whitman turned away from Donald trump
Meg Whitman, the main donor of the Republican party and former candidate for Governor of California, said Tuesday that she will support Hillary Clinton, making it one of the most core Republican deserters.
"Demagoguery Donald trump undermines the foundations of our national character," said Whitman in a statement. "America needs this stable leadership that Secretary Clinton can provide."
The President and CEO of Hewlett-Packard Meg Whitman also said in an interview with the New York Times that it will use its considerable resources to contribute to the Clinton campaign and its allies. Clinton herself asked Whitman about the support.
The last two defections mean that trump is losing his supporters. Within 2 days 3 more Republican women have a side to support Clinton.
Whitman finished his statement endorsing Clinton, calling on all Republicans to follow her, saying, "I call on all Republicans to refuse Donald trump in November of this year." "I'm not going to vote for Donald trump," Whitman said Friday on CNBC. "Look at the comments he made about women, about Muslims, about reporters, it's just disgusting."
