Florida night club shot children
Two people were killed and at least 14 people were injured after a shooting at a nightclub in Florida, said police captain Jim Mulligan. The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. Monday in the Parking lot of the Club Blu Bar and Grill, police said.
Police did not release details about those who died. But there is information that the hospital in Florida has reported 16 people aged 12 to 27 years with injuries ranging from minor to very severe. Authorities detained three adult suspects in the shooting. But the motive for the shooting remains unclear. Club Blu has released a statement, saying he was trying to provide a safe environment for Teens.
"We deeply regret this incident," the club posted a message on Facebook. "We tried to give Teens as we thought safe place where you can have a good time, children aged 12 to 17 years. There were armed guards, and safety, inside and outside."
The police do not inform, how many shots were fired, but the front part of the club was covered with at least 36 holes from a firearm. But the area is now "considered safe," reads the police statement. Authorities are looking for suspects who still may be on the loose.
