Cynthia Nixon says the new Sex and the City movie is more of a "romp" than the previous film
In the first big screen instalment of the television show, Cynthia`s character Miranda Hobbes separated from her husband after discovering he had been unfaithful, while Sarah Jessica Parker`s character Carrie Bradshaw was stood up on her wedding day. Cynthia has revealed the latest movie will be far more upbeat as the four main stars leave New York behind and travel to Morocco.
"The last movie was more of a tearjerker, and this is really more of a romp - an adventure!" She revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine. "I like the caper aspect of the movie, the four of us on the run in a foreign country. It`s fun!"
Jason Lewis also appears in the movie sequel and is hopeful there will be a third instalment in the franchise. Jason plays Smith Jerrod - the love interest of Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall - and is keen to reprise the role again in the future.
"I`m not sure," he said when asked about the prospect of a third movie. "But if anybody can do it, it`s [director] Michael Patrick King. He`s so brilliant."
Jason loved playing hunky actor Smith in the new movie, but is refusing to give away any of the plotlines because he doesn?t want to spoil it for the fans. "It was just plain fun," he told E! online. "But I don`t like the spoiler culture. I think stories should be experienced as you go."
The second Sex and the City movie will be released in May.
