Named the executor of the terrorist act in London
By a deadly terrorist attack in Central London has become a 52-year-old Khalid Masood, said senior police officer in the UK to combat terrorism.
Mark Rowley, the national leader in the fight against terrorism, said that during the night there were two significant arrests: one in the West Midlands and one in the North West of England. 9 people remain in custody, one woman has been released on bail, said Rowley. Police are continuing to search the 5 addresses, and 16 searches over, Rowley said it was quick and wide-ranging inquiry.
Rawley said officers seized computer data, and interviewed 3500 witnesses of the attack, and many of them were representatives of different nationalities. In the attack 4 people were killed and injured at least 50 people, 31 of whom require treatment in hospital, said Rowley. Two of those in hospital are in critical condition, one with life-threatening injuries.
The arrests were made in London and Birmingham, while the houses were also searched in Brighton and Carmarthenshire in West Wales. Police reported that 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts on Thursday night in East London.
6 people - 2 women and 4 men aged from 21 to 28 years, were arrested at two addresses in Birmingham, the city in Central England. Six were also arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts.
This attack was the first terrorist act of mass murder in the UK since 2005, when 52 people died in terrorist attacks on 7 July in London's public transport system.
