Nick Cannon "hangs out" while Mariah Carey "makes the money"
The 29-year-old comedian-and-actor married the singer in an intimate ceremony in the Bahamas in 2008. On Tuesday night, Nick walked the red carpet at the New York premiere of Just Wright alone and when quizzed about Mariah`s absence, he told reporters his wife was off making money.
"Oh, she had to work and make that money, so I`m here hanging out tonight," he laughed.
Nick has repeatedly said he doesn`t mind being known as Mr. Carey, because Mariah is much more famous and rich than he is.
Nick and Mariah renewed their wedding vows recently and the funny man says they are happier than ever. In addition to renewing their promises to each other annually, the couple also celebrate their marriage once a month.
"Every 30th of every single month is `I Love You Day.` We celebrate the 30th because that`s when we got married," Nick gushed to Us Magazine. "We celebrate with flowers, candy, dinner, gifts. We just like to remind each other how we feel.
"We`re not taking life way too seriously. We`re out there having a good time and embracing each other and being friends and keeping a sense of humour about everything."
