Christina Applegate eradicated stress from her life
The actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and underwent a double mastectomy. Battling the disease made her re-evaluate what was important to her, and Christina now refuses to spend time on things she doesn?t enjoy. She has also vowed to stop worrying and getting worked up about silly things.
"Stress isn`t something I really allow into my life," she explained. "It creeps in but that`s a huge thing, changing my diet, changing my want to make every day the best that I can."
Christina made the comments at the Entertainment Industry Foundation`s annual Revlon Run/Walk, held in Los Angeles over the weekend. Around 40,000 attended the event, which helped raise money for women?s cancer research.
The 38-year-old tries to see her cancer battle as something positive, explaining it has made her appreciate every day more. She still has times where she is unhappy with her body or feels down, but they are rare. "I fall short. I get into self-pity and all of those things you do... but at the end of the day, this is the day that I`m living and I need to rejoice in it," she told People magazine. "This chapter of my life is bigger, better, more exciting. I`m looking forward to everything my life has to offer. I feel incredibly grateful."
Christina got engaged to musician Martyn Lenoble earlier this year, but they are yet to start planning their nuptials.
