The U.S. air force escorted Russian bombers in flight over the Arctic
Four strategic bomber Tu-95MS completed a flight over the waters of the Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk seas, said the Ministry of defence.
The duration of the planned flight was more than 12 hours.
The pilots of Distant aircraft periodically fly over the neutral waters of Arctic, Atlantic, Black sea and Pacific ocean. In the Ministry of defence stressed that all flights are performed in strict compliance with international regulations and do not violate the boundaries of other countries.
