Ben Stiller: I am funnier in movies
Ben Stiller hates "cracking jokes" inperson because he thinks he`s funnier onscreen.
The actor has starred in some of the pastdecade`s highest-grossing comedy films, but he is still unconvinced abouthis comedic talent. Ben insists he never draws attention to himself at eventsor parties because he prefers to focus all his energy on his film roles.
"I`m not the type of guy who goes aroundcracking jokes a lot," he explained. "Actually, I think I`mprobably not that funny in person and I`ve never really been trying to bethe funny guy, you know, in a room.
"I`m much more comfortable just making amovie. For me, it`s always been about movies and acting."
Ben still finds it hard to believe how successful hehas been. As he approaches his 45th birthday, he is trying to take more time toreflect on how far he has come.
"When you`re in your twenties you have anidea of what you want to do, but I never thought I`d have the opportunityto act in films as much as I did," Ben told Empire magazine. "Idon`t think anything works out the way you think it will. When you getolder, you have to take time to appreciate where you`re at."
