Lady Gaga escapes ban
Lady Gaga will not be banned from the Yankee Stadium clubhouse for her @inappropriate behaviour" at a game on Friday.
The outrageous singer caused controversy when she attended a baseball game at the New York stadium wearing nothing but a lacy black bra and panties and an oversized Yankees shirt. At the end of the match, Gaga and her large entourage managed to gain access to the home team`s clubhouse without an official invitation.
Once inside, she is said to have "swigged whisky" while "fondling her boobs", distracting players from their usual routine. Her large security teams also took up so much space, journalists were prevented from entering the building and conducting their usual end of game interviews.
"She`s not banned," New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman told the New York Daily News.
Cashman insisted officials and players were not offended by anything Gaga did, but said he didn`t think the star should have been allowed into the clubhouse after a 4-0 loss. He also said it was unacceptable that the singer and her entourage prevented reporters from gaining access to the area, but insisted this was not Gaga`s fault.
"There is a time for things like that and that wasn`t it. After a loss is the wrong time," he said. "Where a security detail prevents the media covering the game from doing its job, that is wrong. This has nothing to do with her.
"It has to do with a decision made upstairs to let her in and allow this to happen. She did nothingwrong. The problem is internal and it`s been handled."
