Russia's permanent representative to the EU said the terms of improving relations with Europe


The improvement of relations between Moscow and the European Union When the EU has accumulated a critical mass of political will, said permanent Commissioner of Russia to the organization Vladimir Chizhov, " the parliamentary newspaper ".

"The European Union is obliged to accumulate a critical mass of political will. This plan is about the attitude of one or another member country on the issue of cooperation with Russia. When such a critical mass will be accumulated, will occur certain changes in our relations ", - he said.

Chizhov said that the preconditions for the improvement of Russian-European relations is, however, not known how long it will take for this process.

According to the Ambassador, the problems in the dialogue between Russia and the EU did not arise because of the situation around Ukraine, the Ukrainian crisis has become a catalyst for issues that have been building up to 2014.

Chizhov also added that both sides realize that one must build a new paradigm of relations, which, in his vision, should be based on a pragmatic partnership.
