Jeff Bridges prefers home life to working
Jeff Bridges tries his hardest not to work.
The 60-year-old actor has starred in dozens of movies since he made his film debut in 1971 hit The Last Picture Show. He enjoys acting, but would much rather be relaxing at home with his family.
Now that he is getting older, he is trying even harder to avoid making movies because they take up so much of his valuable time and energy.
"It doesn`t matter if it is a big Hollywood movie or a smaller independent film, the approach is the same for me - I try not to work, because once I engage in one thing it takes me away from my family and it takes a lot of effort," Jeff said.
Jeff won an Oscar for his portrayal of troubled country musician Bad Blake in Crazy Heart. He still has a passion for films, but says they have to have something really special to get him interested and involved.
"With Iron Man 2 it was the chance to work with Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau. With Crazy Heart it was the music. I love playing music," he explained to Total Film magazine.
