Russia won the medal standings of the European championship in swimming on short water
The national team of Russia took the 1st place in the medal standings of the European championship on swimming on short water which ended in Glasgow.
the results of the five competition days, the Russian swimmers have won 22 medals - 13 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze.
The gold of the Russian national team was brought by Vladimir Morozov (50 m breaststroke, 50 meters freestyle, 100 meters freestyle), Clement Kolesnikov (100 meters backstroke, 100m individual medley, 50-meter backstroke), Oleg Kostin (50 meter butterfly), Maria Temnikova (200 metres breaststroke) and Maria Kameneva (50 meters freestyle). Four gold Team Russia won in the men's kraevoy relay 4x50 metres mixed medley relay 4x50 meters mixed relay 4x50 meters freestyle and men's medley relay 4x50 meters.
Silver Russia brought Michael Vekovischev (100 meter butterfly), Sergey Fesikov (100 meters individual medley), Ilya Borodin (400 m medley) and Maria Kameneva (100 meters backstroke and 100m individual medley).
Bronze was won by Vladislav Grinev (100 meters freestyle), Michael Vekovischev (200 meter freestyle), Daniel Pasynkov (400 m medley), women's Team Russia in mixed relay 4x50 meters.
Second in the medal standings were the Italians (6 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals), rounded out the top three Dutch (5-1-4).
LEN Trophy received the Italian Team. The Russian swimmers in the LEN Trophy standings, which takes into account all the results, ranked second.
