Ozzy Osbourne stills battles urge to drink
Ozzy Osbourne "wishes" he could still drink alcohol.
The 61-year-old former Black Sabbath rocker has battled addictions to alcohol and drugs for most of his life. He was once taking so many illicit substances, scientists recently announced they would be launching a study into his genes to determine why didn`t he die of an overdose.
Ozzy is now clean and sober, but admits he still craves a drink from time to time.
"Sometimes I wish I could have alcohol, but I know that`s no longer an option for me," he said.
Although he has now battled his drug demons, Ozzy admits they have left him with more than a few scars, both physically and emotionally. He says he is always convinced he is ill and has started to develop an obsessive need to wash.
"I`m a bit of a hypochondriac and I like to shower at least twice a day," he explained to Us Weekly magazine.
