Fergie: I made a marriage list
Fergie made a list of qualities she wanted her husband to have before meeting her spouse Josh Duhamel.
The Black Eyed Peas singer began dating Josh in 2004, and they married in January last year. Fergie admits the relationship took her totally by surprise, as she had always expected to check whether a man fitted her criteria before becoming involved with him.
Her romance with Josh was more organic, and she began to realise she couldn`t be so cut and dried when it came to love. "At that stage of my life, I don`t think I`d have thought that about anybody," she told British magazine Cosmopolitan. "I`d made my lists of qualities that I wanted, and you can`t find out if someone has those in a week. It was learning what he was made of that made me fall in love with him."
Fergie, 35, and her 37-year-old beau are blissfully happy together. She says the key to their happy marriage is they each support one another when it comes to their careers.
The singer appeared in musical movie Nine last year, and had to pile on 21lbs for the part. She has previously said Josh liked her as much when she was bigger as he does when she is at her normal weight, something which means a lot to her.
"He enjoys having both," she said. "He always gives me compliments."
