Mittal Steel managers meet Kryvorizhstal workers
KIEV, November 4 - Managers of Germany`s Mittal Steel company that recently won an auction for Kryvorizhstal, have visited the Ukrainian steel giant and met with its workers, the German company said Friday.
Nicola Davidson, the general manager for corporate communications, said they had first of all assured the workers that all the obligations laid down in the acquisition deal would be honored, and the personnel would be preserved.
The delegates also discussed development of the newly acquired steel mill with its top managers.
Davidson said the sides considered investment proposals and ways of raising the company`s value.
The world`s largest steel producer, Mittal Steel Germany GMBH, won an October 24 auction for Ukraine`s biggest steel mill with a bid of $4.79 billion for 93.02% of Kryvorizhstal shares.
